Terracotta Pot Tutorial

Hi everyone, here is the tutorial I promised in my last post for the terracotta pots. The first thing you will need to do is copy this photo to your hard drive.

Once the photo is on your hard drive, print it on 6x4 photo paper - 9 copies to a page. Now I have some software that came with my camera that allows me to do this easily. Unfortunately, you will have to work this bit out yourself using your software. Once you have worked this out though you can make awesome pots too using these instructions:

Use your pot on cards or scrapbooking pages. Here is another sample, scroll down to my previous post to see three others. Have a great day and thanks for looking.

Stamps: Pocket Silhouettes
Cardstock: Whisper White, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip
Ink: Basic Brown, Really Rust, Old Olive
Accessories: Stampin' Dimensionals, Chocolate Chip Marker, Sanding Block

I'm going Potty

Well not really, but on Tuesday I was at a friends house (Hi Dawne) and she had hanging terracotta pots that caught my eye. I took some photos and started to play with them. I came up with these awesome pots, they look so much better than a punch but they don't look like a photo either because after I cut out the pots I altered them with a sanding block and some ink. I will write a tutorial after this post so you can see what I did.

I did it, the tutorial is here.

Keep it Simple - Album In A Night

Here is my version of a 6x6 album in a night. I have been working on it for a while now but have finally got it the way I want it. It only uses 4 12x12 sheets of cardstock,1 12x12 sheet of designer paper and some gingham ribbon so it is very economical.

Spring has really sprung in our neck of the woods so I decided to base the album on all the spring flower photos I have taken in the last couple of weeks. Unfortunately the photos don't really do this album justice, the pages are much brighter and clearer in real life.

If you live in or near Levin feel free to contact me about this workshop. The cost is $30.00 and you will leave with full instructions and a completed album! Just bring yourself and a minimum of 15 photos.

Stamps: None!
Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black and Bella Rose Designer Paper
Ink: None!
Accessories: Tombow Multi Adhesive, Black Gingham Ribbon, Paper Trimmer, Spiral Punch

Field Traning Swap Card

I am off to Wellington tonight for Field Training with Stampin' Up!. It is so much fun getting together with other demos and one of my favourite activites is swapping cards. This is the card I have made to swap tonight, well, one of a pile LOL.

This is a lot simpler than it looks. The centres of the flowers have been stitched with a thin strip of Chocolate Chip cardstock, I left one end of the 'thread' long and it is the stem. The stitching holes were easy to put in using the mat pack.

The main card is a normal A5 sheet of cardstock folded the opposite the 'wrong' way, the square tent topper makes this card the perfect size to fit in a DLE envelope.

Stamps: Fresh Cuts

Cardstock: Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip

Ink: Sahara Sand, Riding Hood Red

Accessories: Old Olive Brad, Mat Pack
