To make the waistcoat card you first need to print the template on a piece of A4 cardstock as shown and cut out each of the elements - please note that the full waistcoat front is a single unit, do not cut on the line that shows the overlap.  This is designed to exactly fit a piece of A5 cardstock folded in half (this is the colour of the shirt) if you do not use A5 cardstock the measurements

How perfect is this card to say thank you to someone who has helped you out with some DIY. It can be so hard to make masculine cards sometimes but I think the secret is to keep the layout clean and simple. I feel the watercolouring gives the card a lot of depth and shows that you have put time and thought into it without making it girly.

I recently found The Craft Weekly site and am in love with their 'Webisode' video tutorials. I made this little book by following the fantastic instructions given by Karen Thomas here. I have worked out the inch measurements for the cracker tutorial, this is a very New Zealand cracker made with the new measurements :-)If you use 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock the body of the cracker will be an inch shorter so I recommend using 12 x 12 cardstock or Double Sided Desisgner Paper. I love the concept of progressive pages - where you firstly create a 6 x 6 inch page(Creamy Caramel), then use it to create an 8 1/2 x 11 inch page (Old Olive), then upsize the whole thing to a 12 x 12 inch page (More Mustard).It is so much easier to start out small then build it up. A friend of mine bought the pastels and wanted some ideas of how to use them so I came up with this card for her. I stamped the flower with white craft ink then embossed it with white embossing powder - the fun part was colouring in the flower using a blender pen and the pastels, it really pops on the black card!
