Colour Inspiration Challenge #55

If you want to play along click on the title of this post and it will take you straight to Kristina's challenge page.

My nephews 17th birthday is coming up early next month so I thought these colours would work well for a card for him. I stamped the Classic Stars Stampin' Around wheel on a strip of Very Vanilla in More Mustard and scrap Very Vanilla in both More Mustard and Really Rust. I then cut out stars in both colours and varying sizes and mounted them with dimensionals on both the wheeled strip and off it onto the card, I love the feeling this gives the card.

I have yet again used Embrace Life, I love this sentiment, it seems to work with just about everything I do! As this is his last year at school I thought I would write on the inside "and shoot for the stars". I hope he likes it :-)

The photo below shows some of the dimension on the card, thanks for looking and have a great day.

Stamps: Stampin' Around Wheel Classic Stars, Embrace Life
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Really Rust, Basic Grey
Ink: More Mustard, Really Rust
Accessories: Stampin' Dimensionals

Lovely As A Tree

I have been playing with backgrounds a bit lately - this is my attempt at a brayered background.

I am quite pleased with the end result but I think i need to practice more as the graduation from one colour to the next isn't as smooth as i would like. Hehe, the little bird in the sky is to disguise the fact that I touched a dauber loaded with Baic Brown ink on the card :-)

Stamps: Lovely as a Tree, Embrace Life
Cardstock: Baja Breeze, WhisperWhite, Chocolate Chip, More Mustard
Ink: Black StazOn, Basic Brown, So Saffron, Really Rust, Riding Hood Red, Brocade Blue, Basic Black
