Colour Inspiration Challenge #31

Another fabulous colour challenge, if you want to play along click on the title of this post and it will take you straight to Kristina's challenge page.

I love the colours, but I don't have any Pumpkin Pie or Elegant Eggplant card or ink - what is a girl to do? Why, use my Stampin' Pastel's of course! With these I have ALL the Stampin' Up! colours so there is no excuse not to play.
I decided to use Poppin' Pastels technique to add the colour to the background (Pumpkin Pie) and the "frond" images (Elegant Eggplant). Lots of piercing, sponging and cutting later, this is what I came up with. I hope you enjoy it.

Stamp Sets: Looks Like Spring, Petal Prints, Polka Dots and Paisley
Card: So Saffron, Close To Cocoa, Whisper White
Ink: So Saffron, Basic Brown, Versamark
Accessories: Dimentionals, Mat Pack, Spring Flower Bouquet Punch, Crystal Effects, Dazzling Diamonds, Stampin' Pastels, Sponge Dauber

Colour Inspiration Challenge #30

Well I am up and crawling - I hope to start blogging regularly now that we have finally moved and are settled in Levin. I have decided to start my blogging again using the fabulous Colour Inspiration challenges from the uber talented Kristina Werner. These are a fabulous way to get your creative juices flowing, this weeks challenge is:

The inspiration image is so soothing and calm I just had to play along, this is the first time I have tried the challenge and actually linked my card.

This is the card I came up with - a misty melancholy scene using Lovely as a Tree on the sunniest day we have had for ages - go figure! I think it works really well with the missing you sentiment from So Many Sayings, and sort of describes how I am feeling at the moment having moved cities and not having my friends close by.

My husband took one look at it and said it was nice to see me make a masculine card, but I would have to take the sentiment off it - he gets to go to work and socialise! LOL.

Thanks for looking and have a great day :-)

Stamps: Lovely as a Tree, So Many Sayings, Card: Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Old Olive, Certainly Celery Designer Paper, Ink: Old Olive, Cerainly Celery, Sahara Sand, Accessories: Certainly Celery Ribbon, Hodge Podge Hardware, Dimentionals
