Every Wednesday in June Stampin' Up! is going to release a special that goes through to the following Tuesday. I will have no idea what is coming until the Wednesday so I will be posting the specials on Wednesdays for the following week.
This week they are offering 30% off the following punches:
• 112081 - Scallop Square Punch
• 109183 - Trio Flower Punch
• 110711 - Boho Blossoms Punch
• 114889 - Scallop Oval Punch
The regular price for these punches is $35.95, but until next Tuesday they are only $23.37!
The Boho Blossoms punch works perfectly with the group of three flowers in the One Of A Kind stamp set on page 95 ($41.95) of the main catalogue, the images all line up so all you have to do is stamp and punch to get great looking punched flowers.
Although the Scallop Oval punch doesn’t appear in the main catalogue it works brilliantly with the Large Oval Punch (punch 11 on page 152), the scalloped edge peeks out from behind the Large oval punch forming a lovely frame. I use it a lot by stamping words then punching them out using the Large Oval Punch them matting them on the Scallop Oval.
If you would like to take advantage of this special feel free to e-mail me at trevlyn@paradise.net.nz . I will need to have your order and payment by midday on Tuesday the 8th of June to give me time to process the order before it disappears and a new special takes its place.
Have a great day

Rosebud Tutorial
As promised, here is the tutorial for making the rosebud using the Two Step Bird Punch from the latest mini catalogue:
Step 1 - Cut a strip of green cardstock (old Olive used here) about 3 cm (1 1/4") wide, this will save your cardstock and make rotating the 'hole' possible.
Step 5 - Punch a leaf from the green strip and adhere just the top leaf over the rose as shown above - et voila, you have a rosebud.
To see the rosebud used on a card go to this post.
I hope you enjoy making your rosebuds and as always, comments motivate me to write tutorials :-)

Step 2 - Insert the strip of cardstock from the right hand side of the punch and punch as shown above - you need the hole the end of the tail leaves.
Step 3 - Turn the cardstock over and insert fron the left hand side of the punch with the 'tail hole' in the window for the wing as shown above.
Step 4 - Punch a wing only from red cardstock (Real Red used here) and adhere the green wing with the hole in it over the red wing to form the calex of the rose.
Step 5 - Punch a leaf from the green strip and adhere just the top leaf over the rose as shown above - et voila, you have a rosebud.

Asian Artistry Again
WooHoo - two posts in one day! I can't seem to stop playing with this set. I used the 1 3/8" circle punch to make the pot and I love the look with this stamp.
I can see me using the Very Vintage Jumbo Wheel on a lot of projects too.

Asian Artistry
I have been playing with the new Level 2 hostess set Asian Artistry, I love everything about this set! I think the dragonfly is the most beautiful dragonfly stamp I have ever seen, and take it from me I own a lot of dragonfly stamps LOL. I have added Dazzling diamonds to the wings but they don't really show up in the photo.

Two Step Bird Punch
I LOVE the new two step bird punch - I created the rose using it as well. It is so versatile and easy to use I am really liking the way it works with the Top Note Die and one of the new designer papers on this card.
