Faux Nestie Tutorial

I had one of those light bulb moments this afternoon and I just couldn't wait to share - I have worked out how to get the look of nesties without having to buy them!

Please excuse the quality of the photo's, If I had to spend a couple of hours doing this I probably wouldn't bother! I have done the photography and editing on my i-Phone and it only took me a few minutes. Your feedback on this style of tutorial would be appreciated :-)

Stamps: Lovely as a Tree

Cardstock: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip

Ink: Handsome Hunter, Basic Brown

Accessories: 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Sanding Block, Sponge Dauber, A Glass from my cupboard!

Sorry about the missing step, I have now added it.

I am assuming that you used the scallop circle punch for the brown cardstock? I think you might have missed a step...Otherwise, tutorial was good.

Great tutorial - it looks like using your iphone works well for this.

Light bulb moment, I'd say! Who would of thunk? You should submit this to SCS to feature in their resources/technique column. I understood everything and the pics were great. TFS, lorijane

Lynette,
This is the best idea I have seen in a long time. I am going to try this and save my money for SU stuff, not nesties. Yay for you. Your pictures look fine, very detailed. If you can do this with your cell phone wow, imagine what your pics would be if you used a digital camera. Anyway, thanks for sharing your great ideas.
